Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase a variety of products for the supermarket, including groceries, household items, and perishables.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, favorable terms, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor inventory levels and sales trends to optimize purchasing decisions and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to plan promotions, displays, and product placements to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise floor staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Ensure that the sales floor is clean, well-organized, and stocked with products at all times.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in purchasing, inventory management, and retail operations.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork and employee development.
