Torquing/ Tensioning Supervisor a) Must have more than 10 years experience in mechanical maintenance works in the Petrochemical or Power Generation industry of which at least 5 years has been performed in the role of a Torque/Tensioning Supervisor. b) Educational qualifications: OND or equal in a relevant discipline or standard based qualification (NVQ level 3) or equivalent. Nb. May be required to undertake Competency Based test witnessed by the COMPANY Discipline engineer. c) Must have a fairly good knowledge & understanding of various process equipment d) Must be able to work with computers utilising Microsoft Windows and Office suite of packages. e) Must be able to read, write and speak English (IELTS 6 Equivalent) and to be able to communicate with the majority manpower in their language. f) Must be capable of executing QA/QC / HSE compliance audits on site procedures and HSE Plans. g) Must have experience in and be fully aware of the different pipes, gaskets and bolting materials. h) Must be able to organise up to 10 mechanical technicians, welders and pipe fitters. i) Must be able to organise the materials, services and equipment for his job. j) Must have experience in and be able to trouble shoot, test and propose repair methods without any supervision. k) Must have experience in and be able to plan associated activities, scaffoldings, electric cable works etc. well in advance. I) Must be trained in the techniques of Torquing/Tensioning and in the use of the specific equipment being used. m) Meet all requirements for Torque/Tensioning Technician. n) Must be able to assess competencies of technicians. o) Must be able to provide pragmatic solutions in consultation with Engineering in the event of anomalies with reinstatement of flanges.
